A new update has just landed in the N3 codebase, bringing greater flexibility to smart-contract economics on Neo. The change empowers the NEO Council with significantly broader authority to adjust execution fees, allowing them to lower the cost of running smart contracts to as little as 1/10,000 of the previous minimum rate. This opens the door to far more dynamic fee policies, smoother onboarding for developers, and better support for emerging use cases that depend on low-cost execution.
