To close out the campaign, we sat down with @siriuscrocodile for a written Q&A covering his inspiration, creative process, and what’s coming next. Here are some highlights:

On what inspired the ApeCoin collectibles: Sirius began his journey on ETH, surrounded by Ape culture. “Everyone knows BAYC and the mutant collection, it's the most iconic IP in the entire NFT ecosystem.” His core inspiration was simple: the Swamp and Curtis.

On blending the Apecoin IP with his own style: The process stayed true to his workflow, starting with the main location, the Swamp, then expand the theme and build out the story piece by piece: shirt, cigar, captain’s hat, Curtis lore throughout.

On creating in Web3: “It’s a balancing act between aping in and ignoring the noise. Long-term thinking is always the best strategy.” His north star: stay rooted in his own story, while staying open to real opportunities.

On the tools he uses: Sirius creates all his DRiP pieces in Blender using Grease Pencil, a 2D canvas inside a 3D space. “I'm always aiming for a rather clunky and spontaneous feeling in my animations so I avoid many of the sophisticated tools in the software”

On what’s coming next: Custom physicals… and Crocoverse, “A text based adventure game that uses my card collection as the environment, and playing it will unlock different perks like physicals and new collectibles.” Retro on the surface, highly sophisticated underneath.
