My previous understanding of deAI: purely a waste of effort, AI just needs to roll out computing power and data.
Now my understanding of deAI: superintelligence will emerge from the collective collaboration of Agents, with token incentives, on-chain memory state, and Agent subjectification being the second path to AGI.
Sentient AGI, Bittensor, and Rei Network are the practitioners of this second path.
Some friends asked if Sentient AGI is the same as Bittensor. There are some similarities, but overall positioning is quite different.
The similarities are that both are L1 projects in the Crypto AI field, aiming to promote AI evolution that differs from centralized models by utilizing crypto incentives and decentralized characteristics, both belonging to the Crypto+AI narrative. Additionally, both aim to incentivize contributors through native tokens (Bittensor's $TAO; Sentient's $SENT) to encourage participants to contribute in model training, data provision, and computing resources, aligning with open-source and community governance directions, challenging the monopoly of centralized AI giants (like OpenAI).
The main difference lies in their core mechanisms. Sentient attempts to build a multi-agent collaborative ecosystem through a global reasoning agent network (GRID) and recursive meta-agents (ROMA), supporting plug-and-play tools (like data processing, trading bots), resembling an "AI factory" integration platform, emphasizing community ownership and high practicality. Bittensor, on the other hand, focuses more on distributed ML model training and validation on subnets, similar to a "decentralized computing market."
